Warranty and Maintenance of Boards

General

In addition to your statutory rights, Adapta Business Products warranties all products against faulty workmanship and materials for a period of twelve (12) months This warranty agreement does not cover fair wear and tear; neglect; abuse or misuse of your goods; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, lightning, sunlight, weather, rusting, corrosion, theft, or explosion; accidental damage or consequential loss.

Whiteboards

Warranty: The porcelain surface has a 20 year warranty under normal classroom/office use. The surface will not stand impacts from hard objects or use of abrasive materials.
Maintenance: Use only recommended good quality dry erase marker pens. Dry erase pen ink is best removed with a whiteboard eraser. Dirty erasers can stain the surface. Depending on usage, the boards will require periodic cleaning with a recommended whiteboard cleaning fluid. All residue of cleaning fluid should then be cleaned from the surface using a clean dry cloth.

Pinboards

Type: Krommenie (Forbo Bulletin Board)
Warranty: 12 months surface warranty under normal classroom/office use.
Maintenance: This surface can be spot cleaned with mineral turpentine. Abrasives or scouring powders must not be used. Not resistant to prolonged exposure to alkalis.

Type: Fabric covered framed or unframed
Warranty: Pinboard construction and extrusion are covered for 12 months. Fabric is covered for period of 12 months and subject to normal pinning use.
Maintenance: Please only use a very slightly damp cloth to avoid wetting the core of the pinboard. The same applies to acoustic boards.

Remounting Boards

Pinboards and whiteboards installed by screws rather than glue can be taken down and remounted but it must be done extremely carefully so as to avoid damage. Boards not installed or remounted by Adapta personnel are not covered by warranty.
